“Singing on behalf of a Guest Star” (2024) Live performance with MaxMSP, using a custom made meteorite instrument, background projection made in collaboration with Stream Diffusion AI in TouchDesigner, imagining a meteorite’s dreams of home. Song performed is adapted from the 1979 chinese folk classic “Don’t ask me where I came from”. Electricity conducting meteorite (High Metal Chondrite) at the tip of the instrument which completes circuits on an arduino-based circuit board, triggering pre-recorded Hakka-language voice samples and manipulates real-time voice input on MaxMSP.
Fresco to 3D Animations (2024-2025) Images painted on fresco converted to 3D models through an image to 3D asset AI model and customized on adobe medium, video animations made on QuillVR and Maya
“A speculative cosmology” (2025) Experimental animation developed for the Arne Slettebak Planetarium and adapted for an inflatable dome. 3D animation made in Maya and QuillVR and sound, composed in MaxMSP through additive synthesis and an AI voice model trained with the voices of 7 Hakka persons.
“Eating up/walking back centuries under a crescent sun” (2024) Performance during April 2024 solar eclipse. Hand movements and live camera inputs of century eggs and solar eclipse are streamed into a Touchdesigner media system, generating a real-time animation.
